TAITRA’s aims for domestic food industry is to hold delegations, trade missions, and help food related associations with their needs in integrating, planning, and executing overseas missions. We will also assist fruits and vegetables vendors, food processors and seafood vendors to sell their goods to the global market.

Invite Foreign Buyers and Hold Seminars
Since the start of this project, we have been inviting foreign buyers and arranging one-on-one trade meetings with Taiwanese vendors. To increase the body of knowledge available in the industry, we also inviting scholars and experts to analyze market trends and share with domestic enterprises.

Taiwan Industry Image Enhancement Project 2015 (IEP 2015)

To enhance the innovative image of Taiwanese industry, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) authorizes TAITRA to implement “The Taiwan Industry Image Enhancement Project (IEP)”. The project is targeting 15 countries, including Taiwan, the EU, USA, Japan, Mainland China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Brazil, UAE, Egypt, Myanmar, Turkey and Mexico. By employing integrated marketing strategies, such as exhibition marketing, experiential marketing, channel marketing, media relations, advertising, celebrity endorsement, brand agency fairs, digital marketing and other related activities, the IEP has significantly improved the public image of Taiwanese industry. The improvement has resulted in raised brand awareness and consumer preference for partnering Taiwanese brands, as well as increased sales revenue and an expansion of the sales base in the targeted markets. Global Government Procurement Program

Taiwan became the 41st signatory to the WTO’s plurilateral Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA) in July 2009. To help Taiwanese enterprises obtain procurement opportunities benefiting from GPA accession, TAITRA has been administering the Global Government Procurement Program of which was first organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) in 2009. Through the years, TAITRA has been running a website providing the latest global public tender notices and relevant business information that is collected from over 120 Taiwanese trade and economic branch offices. Additionally, TAITRA holds large-scale “Sourcing Taiwan for Government Procurement” meeting annually; organizes seminars on specific countries’ public procurement guidelines and international bid participating experience sharing; offers enterprise consulting services to obtain U.S. GSA Schedules contracts, and provides our professional and outstanding services of product sourcing and supplier matchmaking to fulfill all foreign tender winners’ procurement plans. It is hoped that under this program, Taiwan’s dynamic enterprises will deepen the relationships with tender winners to gain subcontracting opportunities and strengthen their ability to successfully bid directly on government contracts abroad.

ATA/CPD Carnets

ATA (Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission Carnet) and CPD (Carnet de Passages en Douane) carnets are international customs documents that permit the duty-free and tax-free temporary export and import of goods for up to one year.

ATA/CPD Carnets cover:

Professional equipment
Goods for presentation or use at trade fairs, shows, exhibitions and the like.
Commercial samples

That means almost everything from the ordinary to the extraordinary, the usual and unusual: computers, repair tools, photographic and film equipment, musical instruments, industrial machinery, vehicles, jewelry, clothing, medical appliances, aircraft, race horses, prehistoric artifacts, ballet costumes, rock group sound systems, etc.

If you can name it, and it is not consumable or perishable, then it can probably be covered by an ATA/CPD Carnets.

Taiwan recognizes CPD Carnets from 41 countries.
